Current training recommends the Nexplanon be placed subdermal and at the inner side of the non-dominant upper arm about 8-10 cm 3-4 inches above the medial epicondyle of the humerus avoiding the sulcus groove between the biceps and triceps muscles 9 10. Keep the area clean and dry. Insertion is really fast and theyll numb your arm so it wont hurt.
